Dear Church and Academic Friends in Asia,
Greetings in the only NAME given on earth for our salvation and peaceful, positive living [paX where CH(X)rist is the centre of all studies]!
I address you (and in many cases answer you) as a friend and co-worker in the Kingdom of Christ and as having had Facebook or LinkedIN interaction from time to time.
The Pacific Academy for eXcellence has in Africa and since 2003 in the Pacific Area developed a variety of courses for Christian schools, organisations and churches. PAX has switched from local face-t-face lectures to e-mail, www-net and Skype teaching.
It has been well received on four scores:
- PaX courses centre in, and point to Christ (X = Christ).
- Being on academic levels I to IV they are in simple and understandable English.
- PAX is not state-subsidised and our tutors have not received salaries and therefore the cost of courses are very affordable.
- Courses cover four Departments: Theological Bible Studies; Accelerative Teaching and Tutoring; A Christian understanding of myself to understand and help others, and a full range of English lessons for non-English speakers reaching from pre-school to preparation for University and Business level English.
We give you examples but feel free to inquire about any of our courses and the way in which your organisation can
- Either use our material for free (condition – keep our copyright and address notice when you print or adapt copies)
- Or have your own locally organised PAX school to reach out to your community and create income for your organisation (free info for the asking).
- Use courses as outreach to your community.
Examples:
- Our course for better teaching for teachers and preachers – AlaOla see attached. Some of the units give an idea or other courses: understanding humans, Better Learning and Tutoring; Second language Learning.
- ALPS – All our programmes are based on Better modern learning methodology.
- A special course for church ministers that have not had the privilege or have not been exposed the dangers of Bible-critical training or books. It is at understandable Level IV, introduces students to Biblical English and how to use the free sources on the internet, uses some of the best new insights in Biblical studies but helps students the dangerous currents that undermine the Biblical Gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ. (For this course students must have computer and www-net access).
